To My Future Wife:
One day when we’re married, I’m going to take you to New York during Christmas-time/New Years. We’ll ice skate at the Rockefeller Center and take in what The Big Apple looks like at Christmas. I can’t wait.
I love you.

we're called to love.
Articles and attitudes like this break my heart:

The pro-life movement is one that is very close to my heart. I’ve been involved with the March for Life before and I endorse those who actively stand up and “fight” for the right to life. But there is nothing...

choose this day whom you will serve.
“When the author walks on to the stage the play is over. God is going to invade, all right: but what is the good of saying you are on His side then, when you see the whole natural universe melting away like a dream and something else—something it never entered your head to conceive—comes crashing in; something so beautiful to some of us and so terrible to others that none of us...
There has never been and will never be a greater manifestation of love than that which began in the manger. That baby represented pure perfection, grace, forgiveness, and love for a broken and sinful world. For my broken and sinful self. Not a day passes where I am not caught up by trivial matters or selfish attitudes or hurtful words or pride or lust or jealousy or whatever it might be. But...
Charlie Brown Christmas music, Chex Mix, and an exorbitantly large cup of coffee make late-night studying much better <3
I’m feeling extremely blessed this Christmas season. Only 3 days until I’m done with an awesome semester and on my way home to my amazing family and boyfriend. Only 10 days until my daddy can come home to spend Christmas with us!
The way that God plans the...

enveloped by His love.
God walks behind us to catch us when we fall, to support us when we are defeated, to protect us when we are vulnerable. He walks before us to guide us when we are unsure, to be our light in the darkness, and to remind us of His continual presence. He walks before us to clear our paths; not so that they will be easy, but so that they will be right. And through the whole journey, His hand is with us...
My Dearest Daughter, I see your loneliness and fear. I know your hurt and your heartaches. In a special bottle I am storing each and every one of your tears. I see you searching for love, for happiness, for fulfillment. As much as I hate to see your pain, as much as it grieves me to see you struggle, all this must be, in order for you to totally and completely come to the end of your own...
The Lord is my rest, He calms and quiets my soul.
Psalm 138:3, 7-8;
“On the day I called, You answered me; my strength of soul You increased … Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You preserve my life; You stretch out Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and Your right hand delivers me. The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me; Your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of Your hands.”

Deuteronomy 30; this is good stuff.
“Now it shall come to pass, when all these things come upon you, the blessing and the curse which I have set before you, and you call them to mind among all the nations where the LORD your God drives you, 2 and you return to the LORD your God and obey His voice, according to all that I command you today, you and your children, with all your heart and with all your soul,
3 that the LORD your God...

remembering.
Everyone remembers exactly where they were and how they felt 10 years ago today.
For some, 9/11 meant great tragedy in the loss of a loved one.
For some, it meant spiritual awakening.
For some it meant sacrificial heroism.
Some may not have personal ties to the event.
To my nine year old self, September 11, 2001 meant that Daddy was leaving.
10 years later it means the same thing.
