these are the things that make us feel alive, these are the times that make us realize 

LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL.

Then He said to them, “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled.” Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.

{Luke 24:44-45}

How amazing must it have been for the disciples, to be taught directly from Jesus Himself. He walked them through the Scriptures that they knew so well and showed them what they had never seen before: that every part of the Bible points to Jesus Christ our Savior. It’s all about Him. They were so familiar with the text, the stories, the history but it took divine intervention for them to truly grasp who Christ was and why Scripture mattered so much.

I was wondering how that moment must have felt, for them to have their minds opened to the truth by God Himself. And then I realized that, as believers, we have all had that moment at one particular point in our lives when Jesus Christ revealed to us the sacrifice He made for each of us personally. And, as I’ve learned over the years, we experience those moments over and over throughout our walk with the Lord as He reveals to us another facet of His Word.

I cherish those moments and I can’t wait to experience them all the time when I finally dwell in His presence in Heaven.
